Fifth Avenue Apple Store Floods During Morning Downpour

The underground stronghold of Apple on Fifth Avenue, defended by its hyper-sentient glass cube, was breached by water during this morning's dreary deluge, sending customers scurrying and endangering the store's stock.
"I was down there at 5:45am because I had trouble backing up my computer and everyone started yelling," Errol Rappaport, a customer, told The Post. "There was a leak then--boom--the whole thing opened up out of the ceiling. Then everyone started scrambling, moving tables...It didn't look like there were any electrical issues otherwise they would have evacuated the store."
While no Apple products were damaged in the flood, it does seem that the store has some significant structural problems.
"It's because of the construction they did last year on the roof," an employee told the Post. "They didn't do it right. There are large flat stones up there [that you walk across as you go into the store]. And with the heavy rain this morning, [the water] came through."
A table displaying iPads was covered in plastic, shielding them from the horrors of life outside the protecting gaze of the cube. Reached for comment, The Almighty denied smiting the store for some sort of didactic purpose regarding the company's means of manufacturing cheap electronics on the backs of poorly paid laborers.
"Some grad student already asked me if I did it as some sort of message against consumerism," the Lord said. "It's just a little rain. Besides, Steve would kill me."
