The late spring weather is turning really weak. There were a few showers scattered about the region earlier this afternoon but they have pretty much died off because there's just not enough yeast in the atmosphere to get the clouds to rise. Showers, or even a thunderstorm, have a better chance of forming tonight ahead of an approaching cold front.
The front's not in a hurry so the chance of rain may last through tomorrow morning. Once the front passes we'll see several days of fair weather. Thursday's high should reach the low 80s over most of the city. The beaches will be cooler as the wind will be blowing off the ocean.
Friday, the weekend, and beyond are expected to be mostly sunny and warm. Despite a couple more cold front passages over the weekend, look for highs in the mid to upper 80s or thereabouts through at least Monday. We may even see the third 90 degree day of the year. Good thing tomorrow is Heat Awareness Day.
