It’s Thursday afternoon in New York City, where Mayor Eric Adams’ list of haters is nowhere to be found.
Here’s what else is happening:
- The Riverside Park goats are returning for their fifth summer of weed munching, this time in West Harlem. This year's roster includes Charlise, Chico, Godiva, Mallomar, Paris, Romeo and Turbo.
- The people of Queens have spoken: The award for the borough's best burger goes to Donovan's Pub in Woodside.
- Sportswear companies including Hoka and New Balance are giving Nike a run for its money when it comes to running shoes.
- Snoop Dogg wants to meet a crip-walking horse.
- A bill before the NYC Council would decriminalize jaywalking after data showed people of color were disproportionately ticketed for alleged violations. But some city officials are saying not so fast.
- Walgreens plans to close many of its roughly 8,600 locations nationwide.
- What’s the New York equivalent of the Los Angeles Erewhon $20 smoothie?
- And finally, I need an invite next time, Wilson!
