- The state health department is investigating Bellevue Hospital's use of unlicensed surgical technicians, who've been brought in to help carry out an exceptionally high number of bariatric surgeries.
- Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani filed for bankruptcy after a judge ordered him to pay $148 million to two Georgia election workers who sued him for defamation.
- Here are photos of Deputy Mayor Phil Banks — previously an unindicted co-conspirator in a bribery case involving two Brooklyn businessmen with ties to Israel — firing machine guns on a 2014 trip to Jerusalem.
- A 28-block stretch of 34th Avenue in Jackson Heights — a beloved if once contentious creation of the Open Streets program — is officially becoming a permanent linear park.
- Plans are underway to bring back the Scranton-to-New York City Amtrak line.
