Here's what else is happening:
- A World War I memorial inside a 3,000-square-foot park in Williamsburg has gone to weeds behind a locked gate in the year since the last community activist who used to maintain it died.
- More and more, people are buying houses right next to Long Island Rail Road tracks and not really minding the noise. (They say the convenience of being near a train station is a plus.)
- A lane of the triple-cantilevered section of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway will be closed for the next two weekends for the installation of scale technology for automatically ticketing heavy trucks.
- Melania Trump wants to get to the truth behind the assassination attempt on her husband.
- They did it: New Balance came out with a $1,500 gray sneaker made with Loro Piana wool.
- Health influencers and Ozempic patients are getting into cottage cheese for its high protein content and "major burrata vibes."
- If your funeral isn't at Frank E. Campbell on the Upper East Side, did you even die?
- Meet grown-up Lenu and Lila.
