Good Friday morning in New York City, where we've put together a voter guide for this year's elections for governor and Congress.
Here’s what else is happening:
- Vote early on Oct. 31 or Nov. 1 and get a spooky sticker.
- Former New York City Mayor Abe Beame, having just completed an expansion of a wastewater treatment facility on Staten Island in 1976, put a letter in a time capsule addressed to the mayor in the year 2026, expressing hope that the reader "live[s] in a world….where hunger, disease, and illiteracy have been eliminated."
- A bill in Trenton could ban chewing gum in New Jersey because apparently microplastics seep into your body after a couple of minutes of chewing.
- Tom Hanks is returning to Broadway next year for a limited run of “This World of Tomorrow,” a time-travel play he co-wrote.
- Former New York Rangers star Ron Duguay has died at the age of 69.
- More and more, stylish people are letting some t-shirt stick out from underneath another t-shirt.
- Driving a 2000 Buick Regal is cool now.
- Knicks ring.
And finally, snuggle up:
