It’s Monday morning in New York City, and the Trump administration is set to make some major changes to a federal housing program that could leave thousands of formerly homeless New Yorkers at risk.
Here's what else is happening:
- The New York Public Library recreated a beer from a recipe inside George Washington’s notebook from his time as a young militia commander in the French and Indian War. Here’s a review.
- New Jersey’s Six Flags Great Adventure is getting a new roller coaster, set to open in March 2027, that will launch from 0 to 50 through 80 mph upwards.
- NY1 reporter Roger Clark investigated the disappearance of the iconic New York City coffee cup, which is often imitated, never duplicated.
- The Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino hinted at a possible run for governor of New Jersey in the future.
- The MTA is hosting a summer music series featuring some of the best subway performers.
- NJ.com had time to actually respond to those scammers who bombard your phone with fake job offers. Here’s what happened next.
- Love Island returns this week, already down one cast member who was removed from the show after a video surfaced of her using a racial slur while singing along to a song.
- And finally, go Knicks!
