- THE CITY reports that Winnie Greco, Mayor Adams' director of Asian affairs, allegedly pressured an Adams campaign volunteer to work on renovations at her house — and demanded $10,000 donations from people looking to attend an event at Gracie Mansion.
- Hundreds of relatives of Israelis currently held hostage by Hamas traveled to New York City this week to visit the Queens gravesite of the Rebbe, who some Jews believe can bring their prayers to God.
- A 27-year-old pickup truck driver who allegedly hit and killed an elderly woman in a Queens crosswalk last month has been charged with criminally negligent homicide.
- St. Mark's Place now has two hot dog establishments.
- The Colombian government has begun sterilizing the roaming, unsupervised hippos that are descendants of animals that once lived in Pablo Escobar's menagerie.
- Model Karlie Kloss bought i-D magazine from the now-bankrupt Vice Media.
- Ozy Media founder Carlos Watson, who was indicted on fraud and identity theft charges earlier this year, is out raising capital again.
