- David Banks and Sheena Wright, two former top officials in the Adams administration whose phones were seized by the FBI in 2024, are now married and hosting a podcast together.

- Fireflies are thriving in Brooklyn.
- The Bronx's own Vincent Pastore, best known for playing Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on "The Sopranos," has died at the age of 80.
- Westwood, New Jersey, is desperately trying to save its 234-year-old "Kissing Tree" from succumbing to a terminal fungus.
- "As we all know, the world desperately needs to be having a bit more fun these days, so by gathering together [at an open mic] on the Upper West Side, we are actually performing an important public service."
