Good Monday morning in New York City, where these sandwiches are massive.
Here's what else is happening:
- According to the New York Times, the Adams administration is keeping a spreadsheet of proposed public statements from city agencies, ostensibly so they don't say anything that upsets Trump. (I recommend our new podcast on the subject.)
- Police said a 54-year-old cab driver who was shot in the face by an angry passenger early this morning managed to then drive himself to a hospital in Brooklyn.
- Attendance at Broadway shows is up 19% since congestion pricing took effect.
- U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on Saturday accused Gov. Kathy Hochul of letting the subway system become a "s**thole" that could be cleaned up in 36 hours if she sent in law enforcement to "kick out homeless."
- Forest Hills Stadium has been denied new sound amplification permits, which may mean no concerts this summer.
- Amy Schumer's old Brooklyn Heights townhouse, which was first made famous in the 1987 film "Moonstruck," could be yours for $14 million.
- Francis Bourgeois takes Malaysia.
- A New Jersey royal wedding is imminent.
