The police in Middletown, NJ received a call just before 6 a.m. on Monday from residents who found a man sleeping in their basement. And when cops arrived, they determined the man "was extremely intoxicated and had entered the basement through a window and went to sleep on a mattress." Well, that's why you have mattresses in basements, right—for those unexpected guests?
Jerry Stanzione, 32, arrested and charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief. Of course, imbibing too much and falling asleep—while uninvited— in a someone else's home is not that new. Robert Downey Jr. was famously found asleep in his neighbor's child's bed in Malibu back in 1996; Downey was on parole for a previous drug and weapons possession arrest at the time.
