BREAKING: A famous basketball player who loves to garner attention by dressing in drag and appearing on reality TV shows—and traveling to North Korea to meet with Kim Jong Un—had the audacity to loudly speak his mind at a Midtown hotel on Sunday. Page Six says that Dennis Rodman, the former Chicago Bulls star forward, was "making a total jerk of himself" at the Time Hotel—so he was forced to leave!
The source tells Page Six, "He wouldn’t leave, and he wouldn’t let anyone talk to him about shutting up, or what an oppressive country North Korea is." The source added, "He kept saying what a nice guy Kim is, and how Kim just wants to talk to President Obama about basketball. He was waving around a signed copy of the dictator’s huge manifesto, telling everyone they should read it.” The source also said Rodman "is loud and does weird stuff. Like, he’ll come down to the front desk in his bathrobe in the middle of the night and make demands that people have to run to the store for him."
Rodman had just appeared on This Week With George Stephanopoulos, explaining the young North Korean's leader's philosophy, "He wants Obama to do one thing: Call him. He said, ‘If you can, Dennis - I don’t want [to] do war. I don’t want to do war.’ He said that to me... [Kim] loves basketball. And I said the same thing, I said, ‘Obama loves basketball.’ Let’s start there." Apparently North Korea loves the Chicago Bulls.

On This Week, Rodman also observed that Kim "loves power. He loves control. But guess what? He doesn’t want war. That’s one thing he doesn’t want." Well, maybe that was last week during the trip—the isolated country just said it would cancel its ceasefire.
FWIW, Rodman went to the Marriott Downtown, and his rep explained, "He ended up going to the Marriott because he was leaving in the morning and we wanted him to be closer to the airport," while another rep claimed, "The Time is Dennis’ favorite hotel . . . There were a lot of people taking pictures, his security just didn’t like it and asked to move him out of the hotel. There was certainly no incident."
