Note to The Mom Who Hired Strippers For Her Son's 16th Birthday Party: the heat is off! The world has a new irresponsible mom to kick around: The Mom Who Got Her 14-Year-Old Daughter Bombed On Margaritas At Mexican Restaurant. Police say Joann Goulet LePage, 51, and her unidentified teen daughter were already drunk when they rolled up to Puerto Vallarta Mexican in Middletown, CT one night last month and started ordering margs. To be precise, LePage was the one doing the ordering, but soon other diners noticed her sliding the drinks across the table to her daughter. These days you just can't give your little princess alcohol poisoning without some small-town busybodies butting their noses in.
Manager Margarito Rodriguez said he served LePage three margaritas that night, and was unaware that the mom was sharing until "some patrons who were across from them later on mentioned to me there was something going on. So I kept my eye open and then I saw the mother pushing the drink to her and called the cops." Police say the teen admitted her mom had given her the drinks, and that she often lets her booze with meals. She was so intoxicated police took her to Middlesex Hospital for medical treatment.
LePage was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a minor, and custody of the girl has been handed over to her father, who presumably knows his daughter's limits. If there's any silver lining in any of this, it's that the Daily News uses the occasion to revisit some of the worst "related" mom stories of all time, including but not limited to:
- MOM ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY SPANKING SON WITH BAG OF GLASS
- STONER MOM CAUGHT WITH 3 KIDS LOCKED IN CAR TRUNK
- And our favorite: OHIO MOM ARRESTED FOR COVERING SON’S FACE WITH DUCT TAPE.
Your move, MOM WHO LET ME GO TO A TOM PETTY CONCERT WITHOUT SUPERVISION WHEN I WAS 14!
