Last week, a man was critically injured during a fight outside a Brooklyn restaurant. Investigators now say he died, and they are asking the public to help them find a man they would like to question.
According to the NYPD, on August 24, just after 4 a.m., Jose Guzman, 42, got into a "verbal dispute" with another man outside La Fogata, at 1549 Gates Avenue in Bushwick: "The dispute escalated at which point the suspect punched and kicked the victim." Guzman was critically injured and has since passed away from his injuries.
Police previously released video of the suspect talking to an individual who was blurred out. Today, the authorities released new version of the same video, showing the second person, a male with blond hair, wearing glasses and a dark-colored T-shirt, speaking to the suspect. Police would like to question this second individual (on the left), in addition to finding the suspect (on the right).
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
