It seems that the heat wave will be replaced by rain and storms this weekend, which is good news for folks stuck on subway platforms and bad news for people who are walking/biking/living. Meanwhile, I will be somewhere upstate, where I hear they have cool air and mountains and no subways. Sucks to be you guys! But I digress.
Here's what's on tap this weekend for those staying in the boroughs, courtesy of the MTA:
2 trains will operate in two sections, between Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College and E 180 St, and then via the 5 to and from Eastchester-Dyre Av, and between E 180 St and Wakefield-241 St, starting at 3:45 a.m. Saturday and ending at 10 p.m. on Sunday. E 180 St-bound trains will run express from Wakefield-241 St to E 180 St during this period.

The 5 shuttle is suspended in both directions between E 180 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse, with that change in effect from 3:45 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and from 9:45 p.m. Saturday to 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Main St.-bound 7 trains run express from Queensboro Plaza to Willets Point, with a stop at 74 St-Broadway, from 6:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
