As police continue to search for a man who allegedly bit a cabbie on the arm, neck and back during an attempted robbery, the livery cab driver has come forward with his side of the story. Mahmoud Seck says that when the gun-wielding passenger demanded his money, he threatened, "Your family --- expects to see you dead!"
When Seck, who had driven the man from Manhattan to the Bronx, refused to give over his cash to the man, and the two got into a physical struggle. According to WABC 7, the robber first pistol-whipped Seck, then "The men struggled over the gun. After Seck managed to throw the weapon aside, he says the passenger started biting him, five times to be exact including on his back while Seck leaned over to pick up the weapon." Eventually, the man escaped— without any cash—through Seck's driver side door since all the other doors were locked.
The driver showed his considerable scars to news crews ("All from his teeth! All them is teeth!") and said the robber had told him that his wife died, leaving him with three kids. Seck also claims the suspect was carrying two guns, one real and one fake. Police are still looking for him, but maybe only during the evening hours.
