Katie Suarez, the 28-year-old woman who was fatally stabbed while jogging in Brooklyn, has saved four lives through organ donation, according to the nonprofit LiveOnNY.

Suarez donated her heart, liver, pancreas and both kidneys, LiveOnNY, which oversees and coordinates organ donation in the greater New York area, confirmed on Sunday. The organs were successfully transplanted into four recipients between the ages of 12 and 75, three of whom were in New York and one in Florida. Suarez also donated her corneas.

“This is an unimaginable loss for any parent and family,” said Leonard Achan, president and CEO of LiveOnNY. “That Katie thought of others in being a registered donor is a powerful testament to her generosity and will ensure that she will live on through these gifts of life.”

Suarez was stabbed in the neck as she was running on the Shore Parkway Greenway on Oct. 30 and later died from her injuries. On Saturday, just over a week after the attack, NYPD officials said they arrested Department of Education employee Sayed Mohassib, 27, and charged him with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence.

Mohassib pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Saturday and was ordered held without bail, according to court records.

Mohassib's attorney could not be reached for comment Sunday.
