A car struck a mother, her two daughters and her son as they crossed the street in Midwood, Brooklyn, on Saturday afternoon, killing all except the boy, who is clinging to life, police said.

NYPD officials said the crash happened around 1 p.m., after an Audi A3 operated by a driver with a suspended license turned right at a red light at the intersection of Ocean Parkway and Quentin Road, striking and pushing aside a Toyota Camry with TLC plates. The Audi then continued forward, hitting the family as they crossed the street.

The NYPD on Sunday identified the victims as 34-year-old Natasha Saada, 8-year-old Diana Saada and 5-year-old Deborah Saada.

Mayor Eric Adams called it “ a tragic, tragic accident of a Shakespearean proportion.”

Police identified the Audi driver as Miriam Yarimi, 32. An NYPD spokesperson said she was charged with three counts of manslaughter, three counts of criminally negligent homicide, four counts of assault, aggravated unlicened operation of a motor vehicle, as well as several moving violations

“ This was a horrific tragedy caused by someone who shouldn't have been on the road,” Tisch said. “ At this time, our collision investigation squad is working with the Brooklyn district attorney's office.”

The mother and daughters were pronounced dead at the scene, police said, while the boy was taken to Maimonides Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.

NYPD Chief of Department John Chell said another family was traveling in the Toyota that was struck: a mother and three young children, who were driven by a 62-year-old man. They were transported to Kings County Hospital with minor injuries, while the car’s driver was taken to Coney Island Hospital in stable condition.

Yarimi was taken to NYU Langone in stable condition.

This story was updated with the names of the victims as well as the details on the charges against Yarami.
