A 26-year-old man working in his family's bodega was shot and killed last night. Police say that they responded to a call just after 6 p.m. and found Ishak Ghali shot in the head at the All Friends Grocery & Deli, 674 Onderdonk Avenue in the Ridgewood section of Queens. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ghali, who worked there 12 hours a day, seven days a week, had been working alone. His cousin Agiebui Abdelmalak told NBC New York that he thought it was a robbery gone wrong, "You ask anyone in the neighborhood, he was one of the nicest people."

The victim immigrated here from Egypt seven years ago. NY1 reports that "the Bodega Workers' Association will help pay to fly his body to Egypt for the burial."
