The NYPD is searching for two men they believe attempted to abduct a number of pre-teen girls in two separate incidents in Southeast Queens yesterday.

According to authorities, the two men—one of whom was armed and wore a black mask—first approached an 11-year-old girl at around 4 p.m. yesterday, while she was walking home from school near 111 Avenue and 208 Street in Queens Village. The men were reportedly driving a dark green SUV, and the masked man got out of the car and attempted to talk to the young girl. She ran off, and the suspects allegedly fled the scene.

Soon after, the NYPD says the same suspects approached two 11-year-old girls and one 10-year-old girl near 113th Avenue and 196th Street. According to authorities, the men were following the girls in a green Jeep Cherokee with a NYS license plate; the driver allegedly handed a gun to the masked passenger, who got out of the car. Cops say the three girls ran from the suspects and hid behind a parked car. The suspects then allegedly drove by the girls, circled back and passed them again before leaving the scene.

The suspects are described as being between 16 and 20 years of age. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto Crime Stoppers' website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577.
