A 6-year-old Queens girl suffered a broken leg and a cut on her head after she was hit by falling bricks in Queens while walking with her mother on Thursday, police said.

A 4-foot-by-3-foot section of brick came loose from the side of a single-story garage on Maspeth Avenue near 59th Street on and fell to the sidewalk, the Department of Buildings said in a statement.

The department issued a violation to the property owner for what it called “failure to maintain the garage building.”

Efforts to reach the property owner were unsuccessful.

The girl was hit at about 7:30 p.m., according to the NYPD. Officers found her conscious and alert, with a fractured left thigh bone and a minor cut on the left side of her head.

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, officials said.
