One person was killed and four others were injured during a shooting at a vigil in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on Monday night, law enforcement officials said.

Union County prosecutors said shots rang out at around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Elmwood Place and Irvington Avenue during a candlelight vigil.

Prosecutors said five people had gunshot wounds, and one of them was pronounced dead on the scene.

The four other victims were still being treated for their injuries at a local hospital on Tuesday, officials said.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing, prosecutors said.
