In a poll commissioned by palmOne, 750 European office workers were asked their most hated e-mail abuses. The most common of the lot, referred to as the seven deadly e-mail sins in a story on CNN.com, were ignorning, lying, presuming (sending urgent email without a phone call warning or follow-up), waffling (sending long emails when a short one will do), blitzing, sloppiness, and tactlessness. No surprises there, although Ask Gothamist would add that our mother gets annoyed when we send her photos too large for her Internet connection to download in less than 24 hours. Note to Mom: tell Dad to switch the house to broadband.
What are your e-mail pet peeves?
