Hostess may be going away very soon, but most of its prize possessions—including the beloved Twinkie—should be just fine, with hundreds of potential buyers looking to "spend substantial sums" to get a piece of the brand. But while everyone's been concerned about the Twinkie, the Ding Dong has been somewhat forgotten in the shuffle, and he's not too happy about it. So Ding Dong showed up on Saturday Night Live last night to complain to Seth Meyers about being in the shadow of the Twinkie—although at least he has his rap career to fall back on. Watch it below.

While Hostess workers are picking up the pieces and trying to figure out what to do next ("They basically told us to clean out our personal stuff from our lockers and that we didn't have jobs anymore," said one employee), Hostess Brands Inc. clarified previous reports about Chairman and CEO Gregory Rayburn's compensation: "Since Mr. Rayburn is not a Hostess employee, he receives no health or other benefits. Similarly, he is not included in any incentive plans that have been approved by the Court for the wind down of the Company."

More and more potential buyers have been appealing to Rayburn and the judge overseeing the company's bankruptcy in an attempt to take over the manufacturing of Twinkies, Ding Dongs and all the rest. One of those buyers is 59-year-old Massachusetts accountant Donald Sheridan, who wrote a handwritten 4-page note for his bid: “I’ve come to the conclusion that bankruptcy proceedings have become nothing more than a means to employ stupid lawyers and stupid judges instead of being the means to teach stupid people hard lessons in stupid management,” Sheridan wrote.
