You might feel like you're too busy hopping from one post-holiday party hangover to another to eat solid food this week, but this is a mistake. Chocolate gelt is not sustenance, and eggnog will have you attempting to lure Carl from HR to the mistletoe. Carl can get you fired. Here's where you should be drinking and dining this week instead:

On Monday, Toloache Thompson in Greenwich Village will host a Five Course Truffle Tasting dinner as part of Toloache's first Mexican Truffle Fiesta. The multi-course menu includes dishes include Tamal de Olla—soft corn meal masa, chipotle matsutake mushrooms, and soft duck egg with white truffles— and Anticucho de Langosta—a lobster dish with Peruvian corn and shaved white truffle, and diners will be treated to a truffle margarita. The dinner runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will also be held at Toloache 82 on the Upper East Side on Tuesday; it costs $200 to attend, and you can make a reservation through the restaurant.

Head to Rouge et Blanc NYC in Soho on Tuesday or Wednesday for a special Goat-Themed Tasting Menu in celebration of the French-Vietnamese restaurant's fourth anniversary. The $75-per-person menu includes dishes like Goat Cheese Panna Cotta with Beet Mustard, Winter Greens and Cured Goat Loin; and Crispy Goat Haggis with Green Curry, Chickpeas, Garlic Flatbread. You can make a reservation through the restaurant.

And on Thursday, Baked Tribeca is throwing a Dessert a-polooza to raise funds for Cookies for Kids' Cancer and Getting Out and Staying Out. Heavy hitters like Agatha Kulaga and Erin Patinkin of Ovenly and Brian Smith and Jackie Cuscuna of Ample Hills will be on hand to sign books and shell out desserts.Bites, beer and wine and coffee will be served as well, provided you haven't stuffed yourself with sweets. The event kicks off at 7 p.m., and tickets run $35-a-pop; you can purchase yours online.
