The exclusive SoHo House brand opened their first public NYC restaurant today, an offshoot of London-born Cecconi's, which now resides inside the newly opened Empire Stores in DUMBO. What was originally announced as a pizzeria will in fact be a full service location of Italian eatery Cecconi's, which began in the Mayfair neighborhood of London in the '70s.

The elegant Cecconi's Dumbo space makes use of the former warehouse's dramatic archways, which have been transformed into doors that open onto the stone path between the building and the East River. Dramatic views of the Manhattan Bridge are visible from parts of the dining room and bar, as well as from the newly-installed patio with tables, sofas, and lots of flowering plants. A third private dining room space also affords lovely views out onto the water and into Manhattan.

Lunch, dinner and a weekend brunch are all on the docket, in addition to a Sunday Supper, which includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert served family-style for $50 a table (up to four). The regular menu includes "cicchetti," small bites Italians enjoy with a glass of wine before dinner; pastas and risottos; raw applications including beef carpaccio and ahi tuna tartare; wood-fired entrees like prime ribeye and eggplant parm; and, yes, some pizza and "pizzette." Chef Riccardo Bilotta (The Lamb's Club, A Voce Columbus Circle) will execute.

Later this year, or possibly early 2018, SoHo house will open a private club above Cecconi's on the top two floors of the building. This will be more in line with the brand's other two NYC clubs, for which potential members must apply to become a part of and then pay a hefty annual fee thereafter.
