A few months ago, we showed you this map of New York City neighborhoods broken down by cuisine. Which is great, but once you know where you want to go, how do you get there? As a part of their “You Are Here? Mapping the Psychogeography of New York City" exhibit, the Pratt Gallery are showing “The New York City Sub Culinary Map" by illustrators Rick Meyerowitz and Maira Kalman, which highlights some foodie stops on the subway. However, they've seen fit to include the Second Avenue Subway in their map. Sorry guys, but in this case life is not imitating art.
Some fun stops include Knish Avenue off the J and Z trains, FETA at the end of the N and Q in Astoria, Nova and Chopped Liver in the East Village, Osso Buco in Bay Ridge and Fried Chicken Street in Harlem. Though the best might be Minced Words and Tasteless Jokes in the Bronx. May we get a rimshot? [Via Second Avenue Sagas]
