Gigantic food halls like Gotham West Market and Hudson Eats have brought underserved—culinarily speaking—sections of Manhattan a one-stop-shop to nosh on artisanal eats from NYC purveyors. Now Row NYC, a "New York-centric" hotel brings another such concept smack dab in the middle of tourist-clogged Midtown between Times Square and Rockefeller Center.

Like its predecessors, City Kitchen will be a food court-style affair with nine permanent food vendors plus some seasonal pop-ups operating stands in a 4,000-square-foot space on 8th Avenue at 44th Street. Inside, you'll find seafood stalwarts Luke's Lobster, knotted delights from Sigmund's Pretzels and doughnuts from Brooklyn-born Dough. Also of note, an Ippudo spinoff dubbed Kuro Obi, offering three different bowls of superlative ramen—with noodles designed to stand up to transportation—plus toppings, pork buns and Japanese beers.

Also on hand, "Juicy Lucy" burgers and cheesesteaks from Whitmans, breakfast and traditional tacos from Gabriela's Taqueria, sushi from Azuki, Middle Eastern offerings like Duck Shawarma and Falafel Beiruti from illi box and shaved snow from Woolys.

While concept offerings in Times Square can be hit or miss, this should be a good option for both local pencil pushers, Hell's Kitchen residents and lazy tourists who don't want to try too hard to make a meal happen—and it sure beats Olive Garden! Breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings are the current operational plan, with delivery to hotel guests and parts of Times Square planned for April.

700 8th Avenue. Open 6:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. daily
