Have you been scouring eBay and Etsy for the perfect blue Ball Jars to use for your homemade preserves or your darling still-lifes? Well, finally, there are blue "Heritage Collection" Ball Jars—brand new but vintage blue!
Jarden Home Brands, which makes Ball canning jars, has seen a 31% increase in jar sales (20% is probably attributed to Brooklyn alone!) so it's starting to roll out a series of limited edition jars. Also, this year is the 100th anniversary of the Perfect Mason jar, designed by the Ball brothers, so there's a lot to celebrate—and turn into lanterns.
The new jars are "BPA-free and made in America" and has the "period-correct blue color and embossed logos on the front and back." Time to make some blue snow globes and bird feeders and wear your Ball Jar shirt with pride! But if you're just looking for something to store your vintage button collection, maybe you should just buy them with the jar.
