The team behind The Great GoogaMooga and Bonnaroo is coming back to Brooklyn with a boozy event called Cocktail Magic, a traveling drink-a-thon which claims to be the country’s first craft cocktail tour. The first stop on the magic train is this Saturday night Williamsburg, where ten local bars will stir up craft cocktails in the dramatic environs of the grand old Williamsburgh Savings Bank on Broadway. It's now an event space called the Weylin B. Seymour’s, and is an ideal place to get your fancy drink on (without having to worry about the rain ruining everything). Here's the top shelf lineup:
- Attaboy
- Dead Rabbit
- Death & Co
- Dutch Kills
- End of the Century Bar
- Leyenda
- Mother of Pearl
- Nitecap
- Please Don't Tell
- Pouring Ribbons
The magic happens from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., and although the cheaper early bird tickets have sold out, there are still $124.50 tickets on sale. That gets you three hours of probably excellent open bar cocktails, plus pizza from Roberta's and "illusion entertainment" by a handful of magicians. If this promo video doesn't win you over, maybe you just don't believe in magic:
