This evening, non-profit organization Project by Project will hold its annual benefit at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea, a tasting event dubbed Plate by Plate that will benefit Asian Americans for Equality. Restaurants including Toloache, Le Philosophe, The Sea Grill and Red Star Sandwich Shop, join big names in booze from Tito's Vodka to Maker's Mark to Tiger Beer as this year's vendors; Top Chef winner Chef Hung Huynh will also be presenting a special dish for VIPs. General admission tickets run $150 each with VIP at $250.

Line your stomach for Cheers NY, a craft beverage festival in Sunset Park focused on beers, wines and ciders made in New York State. The party'll be happening at Industry City, where about 100 different vendors will be pouring their fermented drinks and such. There are two tasting sessions on Saturday and another on Sunday that feature unlimited food and drinks, plus an outdoor beer hall and a Brooklyn Eats Marketplace with drinks and food available for purchase. Vendors (including plenty from the five boroughs) and sessions are a wallet-friendly $50 each.

Black Tap, home of the funny burger salads, have launched a new burger brunch. The small SoHo spot is determined to make burgers breakfast food, like the Croissant Burger with bacon, egg, Swiss cheese and truffle mayo and a Burger Brunch Salad, with a turkey burger, fried egg, bacon, apple, blue cheese dried cranberries and a buttermilk-dill sauce. Black Tap only has a beer and wine license, but they're still doing some fun new drinks like the Soho Shandy with grapefruit, lemonade, soju and weissbier.
