- Lil Wayne was caught with "music contraband," and may face disciplinary action in Rikers.
- Auditions for Big Show: The NYC Transit System, which gives musicians the chance to perform in the subway, took place this week.
- A new live music series to take place on The Beach at Governor's Island was announced. Initial acts scheduled for the outdoor festival include Yeasayer on June 5th, She and Him on July 4th, and Neon Indian on August 14th.
- Um...at a Rainforest Fund benefit concert last night, Lady GaGa, Elton John, Sting, Shirley Bassey, Debbie Harry and Bruce Springsteen performed Journey's "Don't Stop Believing." Really.
