In case you haven't been keeping up with the news, the owners of beloved Long Island City street art mecca 5Pointz are planning on demolishing the warehouse and turning it into a pair of deluxe residential towers by the end of the year. Oh sure, they're promising that there will be a few "art walls" set aside for graffiti artists to squiggle upon, but it won't be the same, and the artists know that. But did you know that there is a different Five Points in Bushwick? We saw Hanksy's pieces there last year.

It lies near the border between Brooklyn and Queens, about a block away from Ridgewood. It's not directly related to 5Pointz—it's name stems from the five streets that converge there—but like it's more famous namesake, it's also becoming a haven for graffiti artists.

Five Points is curated by Joseph Ficalora, who explained to StreetArtNYC how he gets artists access the walls along Scott Avenue, Troutman Street, and St. Nicholas Avenue: "Some are family-owned and others I’ve negotiated with their owners. Once these building owners see a finished wall, it is not difficult for them to recognize that the artwork surfacing here is far more appealing than random tags and unspeakable words!"

Check out some fantastic photos of the artwork there.
