After trying to stir up controversy about her new single "American Life" and the accompanying video, Madonna has decided to pull the video "out of respect for the soliders". Bull! The Madonna Gothamist knows and loves would continue to pick at the scab. God, we're all getting too old. The mere fact that the video was going to premiere on VH1 spelled middle age to me (although I like VH1 better than MTV simply because VH1 actually shows videos).
The New York Times wonders if Madonna has peaked.
