The Carriage House: the perfect slice of New York City real estate. Complete solitude in a home with no shared walls. It doesn't even need any further selling points, but carriage houses always offer more. Fireplaces, cobblestone driveways, gardens, the feeling that you're in another time and place, eternal happiness, peace of mind, a chef's kitchen. The latest one to come on the market is in Cobble Hill, and the realtor calls it "rare and mythical." Yes, it's the unicorn of carriage houses.
The listing explains that the home is inside of a former 1840's firehouse, and has been "featured in many famous films over the years, it is impressive in scale with a 25’ wide x 85’ footprint, and offers three loft-like floors without the inconvenience of vertical townhouse living."
