Flava Flav was arrested on Long Island this morning and charged with a felony after police pulled him over for speeding on the Meadowbrook State Parkway.
Newsday reports that William Drayton was doing 79mph in his Hyundai at around 9:30 a.m. when he was pulled over near the Southern State Parkway. Police say Drayton was driving with 16 suspensions on his license (driving with ten or more suspensions on a license is first degree aggravated operation of a motor vehicle, a felony) and that they found "a small amount of marijuana" in his possession.
Drayton lives in Las Vegas and grew up in Freeport. His mother Anna died on New Year's Eve, and police released him with a desk appearance ticket so he could attend her funeral.
