For most people, a Bruce BROOOOCE Springsteen concert in New Jersey is a celebratory experience, a chance to rub shoulders with neighbors all in the name of pink cadillacs and Mary's waving dress. But not everyone was buying in to the peace, love and velvet rims on Wednesday night, when Springsteen played his first show at MetLife Stadium—16 people were ejected from the show for getting into an altercation. And among those brawlers was Ellen Cook, sister of NJ State Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa.
Chiesa was also at the concert at the time—he was visiting Gov. Chris Christie in a private box, OF COURSE. Was any NJ official not there? But after he was told of the ejection, Chiesa told officers it should be handled like any other incident. “The attorney general did what any responsible brother would do and drove her home,” said a spokesman for Chiesa, Paul Loriquet.
Meanwhile, Springsteen performed his second of three nights at MetLife Stadium on Friday, mixing up the setlist quite a lot from night 1—there were 17 different tunes played, including five tour premieres of "Mary’s Place," "From Small Things (Big Things One Day Come)," "Jole Blon," "This Little Girl" and "Living on the Edge of the World." Gary U.S. Bonds came out for four songs during a show Backstreets called very fun, but one that "won't be remembered for a lot of sustained intensity." Below, check out some video highlights:
