An unhappy tattoo customer allegedly stabbed a Bronx tattoo artist last month, and now police are hoping the public can help them identify the assailant.
The incident took place on July 26th, around 3:30 p.m., at East Fordham and Bainbridge Avenue. According to the NYPD, a male individual, who had gotten a tattoo in mid-July, got into a "verbal dispute" with a male tattoo artist, 35, over the tattoo: "The dispute escalated to the individual stabbing the victim twice in his left thigh." Then he ran away.
The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Police released security camera footage of the suspect, who is described as thin with black hair with blond streaks and shoulder length dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, black jeans, and a pair of Jordan Space Jam sneakers.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
