Michelin's list of New York City's best restaurants will be unleashed next week, but the French tire company announced their selections for the more affordable Bib Gourmand distinction today. Contenders for the list must offer two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less before tax and gratuity, with 127 restaurants making the cut this year.

There are 14 new additions to this year's list, like Mexican eateries including Enrique Olvera's Atla, and El Molcajete and Patron in the Bronx. Hao Noodle and Tea from Zhu Rong and ChouCho, a Moroccan spot by Antonin Brune and Mario Carta, also made the cut, along with two Italian eateries, Luzzo's and Norma Gastonomia Siciliana. Tfor, which specializes in raw food, rounds out the Manhattan entries.

In Brooklyn, Greenpoint newcomer 21 Greenpoint earned the distinction, alongside Miss Ada in Fort Greene, the new location of Bunker in East Williamsburg, and finally, Pok Pok Ny.

The only Queens newcomer to the Bibs is Dumpling Galaxy, Helen You’s dumpling paradise in Flushing.

There's some shakeup in Prospect Heights this year, with the splendid Alta Calidad, run by chef Akhtar Nawab, being added to the list. Chef Greg Baxtrom's Olmsted, which has been awarded a best restaurant distinction by...just about every outlet who tracks such things...once again make the Bib list, meaning it will miss out on being awarded a star or stars. El Atoradero, the excellent Mexican eatery in the neighborhood, has vanished from this year's Bib, whether to be upgraded or demoted won't be clear 'til next week.

Below, the full list of 2018 Bib Gourmand winners, with new restaurants marked with an asterisk.
