A man allegedly caught masturbating in a downtown Manhattan subway station is now wanted by the police.
The incident occurred last month, on September 18th, around 8:35 p.m. According to the NYPD, a 37-year-old woman was inside the B/D station at Grand Street when she noticed a man "masturbating on a bench on the platform."
When the woman confronted him to stop, the suspect fled, police say.
The suspect is described as being 40-50 years old with a partially bald head. He was last seen wearing a black and purple long sleeved shirt, black pants and black shoes. Police also released photos of him.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
If you see or experience sexual misconduct in the subway (this includes seeing a masturbator, being groped, being grinded on, etc.), you can report it to the MTA and police on this website. There's also a place for you to upload photos and/or video. Don't let the perverts win.
