The NYPD is looking for a man they say fondled his genitals over his clothes while staring at female passengers on board a Queens-bound 7 train.
The incident took place at around 2:10 p.m. on August 31st, according to police. The man in question was allegedly seen touching himself over his clothing while staring at a 29-year-old woman, in addition to other female passengers, near the Queensboro station. He left the train at the 52nd Street station, police said.
The suspect is described as 35 to 40 years old, 5'9" to 6'1", 180 to 200lbs. Cops say he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black tights, black and white sneakers, and carrying a green backpack. You can see video below:
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
If you see or experience sexual misconduct in the subway (this includes seeing a masturbator, being groped, being grinded on, etc.), you can report it to the MTA and police on this website. There's also a place for you to upload photos and/or video. Don't let the perverts win.
