In August, Saturday Night Live will open up their ticket lottery for upcoming season 43, which will likely begin in October. However, this summer we're also getting four Weekend Update specials, starring Colin Jost and Michael Che. The half-hour specials will film in August and the first will premiere August 10th at 9 p.m. It's just a shame we're having such a slow news summer.........
This week, SNL announced via Twitter that they're hosting a lottery for tickets to the show: "You could win tickets to SNL’s Weekend Update Summer Edition! Email [email protected] and tell us why you believe you're the biggest #SNL fan."
When the shows were announced earlier this year, NBC noted that "in addition to hosts Jost and Che, other cast members are also expected to appear on the show." And maybe we'll get some of Alec Baldwin's Trump and Melissa McCarthy's Spicey, too?
For the regular season of SNL, email that same address starting in August (not before!), and "include all contact information... do not request a specific date... if you are selected, you will receive two tickets to a random show date and time." (You can find more details here.)
