If you ever get the chance to visit the Vatican and experience the Sistine Chapel for yourself, you'll learn that photography is prohibited. However, photography is encouraged at the lower Manhattan World Trade Center Transit Hub, where an exhibit featuring life-size reproductions of Michelangelo's frescoes are on display through Sunday, July 23.

The exhibit, titled UP CLOSE: MICHELANGELO'S SISTINE CHAPEL, opened last month with 34 examples, including "The Creation of Adam" and "The Last Judgement from the Sistine Chapel," on the main floor. Westfield, the corporation that operates the shopping center, will be taking the show on the road after July 23, with the next city being Paramus, NJ, at the Garden State Plaza shopping mall.

"There are few works of art as beloved as Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel frescoes. We are thrilled to showcase this beautiful exhibit in our centers across the country and give viewers the chance to experience this artwork in an up close and intimate way," Scott Sanders, Westfield’s Creative Head of Global Entertainment, said in a statement.

Admission to see the reproductions are around $20 for adults ($15 for seniors; free for children 12 and under); audio guides costs $3. (The Daily News pointed out, "Many of the paintings can be seen by commuters from the upper floors of the transit hub.") The exhibit is open daily, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., through July 23.
