Prosecutors have accused a Las Vegas man of making a series of death threats against the lawyers representing 11 former Fox News employees in their racial discrimination suit against the company.

According to the Times, Joseph D. Amico, a 46-year-old computer repairman from Las Vegas, was arraigned yesterday in State Supreme Court in Manhattan on for three counts of making terroristic threats and one additional count of aggravated harassment.

According to prosecutors, Amico allegedly called Wigdor L.L.P., which is representing the plaintiffs in the lawsuit, multiple times on April 26. Over the course of the calls, he allegedly threatened to blow up Wigdor's office building, shoot its partners and made derogatory comments about black people.

The Times reports that the NYPD was able to use phone records to track the calls to Amico's Las Vegas home and sent a pair of officers to Nevada to arrest him back on May 10th, but Amico barricaded himself in his house and was only arrested after a five-hour standoff. He was then extradited to New York on June 8th.

Wigdor L.L.P. is representing 11 employees in a racial discrimination suit against Fox News in which the employees allege that executives and supervisors ignored their complaints of racially discriminatory behavior at the company.

Douglas H. Wigdor, a partner at Wigdor L.L.P. provided the following statement to Gothamist in light of the arraignment: "We are grateful for the dedicated men and women of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office and the NYPD for locating and apprehending this individual."
