Anthony Atamanuik has been honing his Donald Trump impression all throughout the campaign, improvising at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater, appearing on @Midnight in character, and even touring the country as Trump with comedian James Adomian’s Bernie Sanders. Now, he's getting his own Comedy Central show, The President Show, and he explained a little bit about how he nailed his Trump impression on Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night.

"Trump pitches forward, so when he stands, he stands like this, he has no center of gravity," Atamanuik demonstrated. "That's why he's always leaning on people, because he's afraid of stairs and slopes." Accentuate the mouth, bring in the arms, and then "this is the key: Trump is a shih tzu."

You can see two clips from The President Show below.

If you prefer your Trump impressionists to be SNL-endorsed, Alec Baldwin also revealed some of his Trump secrets on Colbert earlier this week. The key to him: "Shove your face like you're trying to suck the chrome off the fender of a car."

Atamanuik and Baldwin have had something of a lowkey Trump rivalry that briefly blew up over the possibility of one of them hosting the White House Correspondents' Dinner (which did not come to pass). If you want to read more about how performing as Trump has recharged Baldwin's career, check out our in-depth interview with him.
