Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who they say stole the tip jar from a Chinese restaurant in Queens and threatened an employee while running out the door.
According to the cops, the man in the video below walked into Chopsticks Restaurant, located at 77-18 21 Avenue, at about 9:15 p.m. on April 13th, and stole the tip jar from the counter. Before leaving, the man also allegedly threatened one of the restaurant's employees, a 42-year-old man, with a baseball bat, before fleeing to parts unknown.
The suspect is described as being 18-years-old, 6'2" tall, 200lbs., and was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a gray and black sweatshirt and black sneakers.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
