Morning clouds should give way to sunny skies this afternoon as a high pressure system slowly drifts eastward across the region. The sunshine will warm most of the area into the mid 60s today, but points close to the shore will be a few degrees cooler.

Tomorrow will be the flip side of today in that clear skies in the morning will give way to clouds as the day progresses, thanks to a warm front being dragged toward us by a storm passing well to the north. As the front approaches it may produce a few showers or a thunderstorm on Saturday evening, especially north of the city, but we should be too far away from the center of the storm to see much action.

What we will see is a very warm Sunday. Southwesterly winds and sunny skies early in the day should push afternoon highs near the city into the upper 70s if not the mid 80s. There will be another chance of showers or thunderstorms when the trailing cold front arrives Sunday night but there doesn't look to be enough moisture involved for significant storms. Cooler, drier weather fills in behind the front with Monday warming to the lower 70s and Tuesday to a near normal lower 60s.
