According to the NYPD, the 46-year-old man, who lives near Dalian Court and Bay Park Drive, realized on January 30th, 2017 that "his personal information [was used] to open a credit card account with American Express." American Express records then showed that the card was used on January 16th at Bloomingdale's on the East Side, where the suspect spent over $7,000.
Video from Bloomingdale's was released, and police describe the suspect as a female with a black purse, last seeing wearing a dark colored coat and a white shirt.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
