Police arrested a U.S. marshal early on Saturday morning after he allegedly threatened a Brooklyn McDonald's employee because his order was taking too long.

Charles Brown, 30, was on line at around 1:20 a.m. at the 86th Street McDonald's in Bay Ridge when he got into an argument with a 25-year-old worker about the wait, according to an NYPD spokeswoman. Brown allegedly stormed out of the establishment, pulled out a gun, and pointed it at the worker from outside, the spokeswoman said.

Cops responding to a call about the alleged madman combed the area and found Brown around the corner a block away about 15 minutes later, according to the police spokeswoman and court records. Prosecutors say Brown had a loaded .40-caliber pistol in his waistband.

Prosecutors are charging Brown with menacing, a licensed firearm transgression, both misdemeanors, and harassment, a violation.

Brown appeared in court during the day on Saturday, and a judge released him without bail. The judge also issued an order of protection requiring Brown to stay away from the McDonald's.

A spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service said he was looking into Brown's employment status. Messages left at two numbers listed for Brown were not immediately returned. A Brooklyn District Attorney's Office spokesman said the agency does not have an attorney on file for Brown.

We will update if we hear something further.
