A 90-year-old woman has died from injuries she suffered during a hit-and-run crash last month. Victim Dorothy Heimann was struck by a driver on February 7th at the corner of Clintonville Street and 17th Avenue in Queens.
According to police, Heimann had been crossing Clintonville Street around 9:50 a.m. that day when the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee made a left turn and struck her, knocking her unconscious and causing serious head trauma. The elderly woman was rushed to NY Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.
Heimann, a Whitestone resident, finally succumbed to her injuries this past Friday. The NYPD adds that no arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing.
